This comes in time for all local government authorities LGA including NHS, Education and MoD sectors to meet the Government Connect Secure Network GCSx COCO requirements by 31 March 2009. The new COCO GCSx is a list of security controls that local authorities need to be compliant with in order to be connected to the Central Government accredited network, Government Connect. GCSx is a managed network that will enable secure interactions between English and Welsh local authorities, central government, the NHS, the Scottish local authorities and the Criminal Justice Communities.
