Slingsby raises money for Breast Cancer Campaign
__

A TEAM of employees from industrial and commercial equipment supplier, Slingsby, have raised more than 1,500 for Breast Cancer Campaign after hosting a range of fund-raising initiatives including a gruelling 118 mile cycle ride in just 10 hours.

The ride saw four teams of cyclists complete a relay style ride along the Leeds to Liverpool canal that started in the Mersey city and followed the canal tow-path back to the company s headquarters at Baildon.

Other events to support the Wear it Pink Day, which was organised by Breast Cancer Campaign and encouraged people throughout the UK to wear pink clothing for a day, included a raffle, cake making and a car wash.

Dominc Slingsby, Managing Director of Slingsby, who participated in the cycle ride explains: All these fund-raising events have been great fun and gave everyone in our organisation the opportunity to use their imagination and come up with a way of supporting Breast Cancer Campaign.

Everyone that took part in the bike ride thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and worked as a close team, which is part of Slingsby s ethos, to complete the ride. This was a great achievement and we ve now already planning further challenges for next year.
